NRB have over 24 years’ experience in our industry, and specialise in radio hire, system design and implementation and onsite logistics support. We have worked with a wide range of companies in varying sectors, which has seen us supply communications solutions to music festivals, sporting events, major events including the London 2012 Olympics and Diamond Jubilee River Pageant, along with conferences, exhibitions and award ceremonies.
Two-way communications hire from Roadphone NRB (National Radio Bank) allows you to effectively plan your event knowing that the technical side of the communications are handled by us. We work closely with our clients to ensure that the communications system we provide meets the needs of the project, allowing you to flexibly meet the needs rather than trying to budget towards a cost. Roadphone NRB specialise in event coverage and were one of the first company’s in the UK to offer Hytera’s DMR Tier III technology out for hire. We offer mainly Motorola and Hytera equipment and with a stock holding approaching 10,000 handportable radios and a reputation for quality in its equipment, supply and support operations, NRB are a major supplier in the UK and European events market.
When either distance, geography, obstacles or logistical requirements prevent back-to-back radio communication from being effective, repeaters can be used to improve the performance of a radio network.
Using considerably more power than you get from a hand-held radio, these static systems connect to an antenna mounted on a high building or geographical landmark to create a wider coverage area. This makes a system vital for critical operations when operatives are out of range. A number of repeaters can also be used to create more complex systems supporting more channel capacity and offering advanced features such as text messaging and individual calling. Individual sites can be linked together via the internet to create an even larger ‘linked network system’.
We offer full on-site technical & logistical support for your events, giving you peace-of-mind that your mission-critical communications system will deliver when it counts. Having worked within the industry for over 25 years we can design a system around your exact requirements and budget.
Using the latest technology, we can design a build a repeater system that allows us to monitor, maintain and update your system remotely.
On behalf of our clients we can remain on-site during the build, live and break periods of your event to allocate equipment to specific users. We use our in-house developed asset tracking system, Checkpoint Charlie, so after the event you know exactly where kit has been allocated and can easily trace missing items.
Developed by the team at Roadphone NRB our ‘Checkpoint Charlie’ Asset Management System allows on-site management of all your equipment.
Simple to use, the system records the serial number of equipment allocated to them (including radios, accessories and even your onsite vehicles and buggies), and then takes their details and a photograph of the user. Checkpoint Charlie creates ultimate accountability, enabling you to trace the last known user of missing equipment after an event.
Packed full of features including Outstanding Equipment Reporting, this multi-user system is mobile and easy to set-up. The system can be fully supported by Roadphone NRB for the duration of the event, or provided in ‘Client Charlie’ mode for you to use.
